Description

【See New Parts of Kyoto Prefecture as a Reserve Educator】

If you enjoy a little variety in your work week, then this is the teaching role for you. The Reserve Educator position allows you to be an on-call substitute teacher working within Kyoto Prefecture. You’ll have the opportunity to work at a variety of cities and towns within prefectural limits. Please understand that this position requires the ability to drive in Japan, and applicants should be comfortable commuting to work by vehicle.

Once the ancient capital of Japan, Kyoto is famed for its southeastern urban center, full of numerous classical temples, shrines, and gardens. But there’s much more than that. In mountain cities like Ayabe and Fukuchiyama, the culture and cuisine of the “mountain dweller” lifestyle come alive. To the north in Maizuru, one can experience coastal culture and see some spectacular views and sights such as nearby Amanohashidate, one of Japan’s most incredible natural wonders. The north Kyoto area boasts lower housing prices and a more laid back and comfortable lifestyle. If you’re looking for a position that allows you the chance to sample exciting new sides of Kyoto, this is the one for you.
