① Teaching English language courses within the Liberal and General Education Center
② Developing teaching methods and teaching materials
③ Conducting administrative duties related to the English language program
④ Research and planning related to the development of the curriculum and methodology for the English program courses
⑤ Participating in the operation and management of the English program facilities
⑥ Faculty development activities

Qualifications:

① Masters or higher degree in TESOL/Applied Linguistics/ Language Education or a related field.
Degrees from an English-medium course preferred.
② Experience in teaching English at the college level is preferred.
③ High level of proficiency in both written and spoken Japanese is required for administrative duties.
④ High level of proficiency in English is required for teaching duties.
⑤ Ability to work collaboratively and actively in all aspects of the administration of the English program.

Terms and Conditions of Employment:

① Subsequent to the results of the reappointment review, reappointment is possible twice. (The initial term is 2 years, the first reappointment is 3 years, and then 5 years for the final term, up to a maximum of 10 years.)
② Salary, etc. As stipulated in the handling of salaries for teachers in charge of basic English courses at Utsunomiya University, a national university corporation.(Reference) Annual salary amount (including regional allowance) for those who have completed a master’s program (24 years old and over): 4,320,000 yen and up. *Determined based on experience, work history, etc.
③ Working hours 7 hours 45 minutes/day
④ Holidays: Vacation annual paid leave, special leave, etc.
⑤ Social insurance, etc. Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology mutual aid association, employment insurance participation
⑥ Trial period of 6 months
⑦ Employer: Utsunomiya University, National University Corporation
⑧ Work location: Utsunomiya University Mine Campus
⑨ Successful applicant must relocate to Tochigi Prefecture
Other conditions will be in accordance with the National University Corporation Utsunomiya University Regulations for Instructors in charge of Basic English Subjects.
